MEMBERSHIP |
Eligibility
Membership is open to individuals associated with the teaching, research,
or administrative staffs at Caltech, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the
Huntington Library and Art Gallery, and the Palomar Observatory. Eligibility
includes:

Caltech Faculty
-
Caltech Graduate Students, age 21 and Older

Caltech Undergraduate Students, Senior, age 21 and Older

Benefit-based employees of Caltech
-
Benefit-based employees of JPL
-
Benefit-based employees of the Huntington Library
-
Trustees
-
Caltech Alumni
-
Caltech Associates
Application
Eligible persons interested in membership may request applications
from Margaret Thomas at (626) 395-8271 or campus extension 8271, via email
at margaret.thomas@caltech.edu, or click here for online application. Upon
receipt, the Membership Office will verify all applications.
This may take up to two weeks. Notice of approval, membership information
packet, and membership card will be sent to prospective members by mail.
Dues
Membership dues are set by the Board of Governors upon recommendation
of the House Committee.
Membership Changes
All changes to Athenaeum membership, including membership classification, contact information, related account, etc. must be submitted in writing. Click here for online request for change form.
Membership Resignations
If you wish to resign, please do so in writing at least 30 days before the effective date. If your notice of resignation is not received, billing will continue and dues will be assessed. Click here for online request for resignation form.
